2/16/2018 - California moving forward with broad workplace violence, marijuana rules

Cal/OSHA proposes new workplace violence, 2nd hand marijuana smoke, fire and explosion, airborne contaminants, robberies and violent crimes and repetitive strain rules to protect employees. Advisory meetings have been scheduled to collect comments on the proposed standards.  More information can be found here.

1/17/2018 - The California Department of Education News Release Applauds Groundbreaking Human Trafficking Legislation

This News Release contains important information regarding AB 1227 which went into effect January 1, 2018 and will require schools to provide education to students in grades 7 through 12. This bill also requires schools to provide training to staff. Keenan SafeSchools currently offers a 22 minute course to assist schools in compliance with the staff training requirement.
