11/12/2018 - Cal/OSHA Form 300A: Electronic Recording and Reporting, Workplace Injuries and Illnesses Deadline: December 31, 2018

On November 1, 2018, Cal/OSHA enacted emergency regulations which will require many employers to electronically submit their 2017 Cal/OSHA Form 300A data by December 31, 2018. This Briefing summarizes these reporting requirements.

7/3/2018 - Workers’ Compensation Benefit Rates: Increase January 1, 2019

The temporary disability benefit rates will increase on January 1, 2019, based on the reported increase in California’s State Average Weekly Wage (SAWW).

5/24/2018 - Health Care Reform: Updated Benefit Limits for 2019 Plan Years

The Department of Health & Human Services has issued the inflation-adjusted out-of-pocket limits applicable to non-grandfathered plans for plan years beginning in 2019 and the IRS has announced the 2019 percentage threshold for determining if coverage is affordable under the Employer Mandate.
