COVID-19
resulted in all schools going virtual in March 2020 and created
unprecedented times for educators. Many educators did extraordinary
things to stay connected with their students. Educators, parents and
students all experienced high levels of stress, fear and anxiety.
Resuming school and attending to the safety and social and emotional
needs of students will be a challenge. Many educators and students will
have anxiety about returning to school and self-care strategies for
everyone are very important. This session by Dr. Scott Poland, a former
national school crisis team leader, focuses on helping staff and
administrators with their anxiety about school resuming. The
presentation provides action steps for administrators as they plan for
the reopening of school.
