Eric Lucas is a distinguished Senior Vice President of Property and Liability Claims Administration, boasting over four decades of expertise in insurance defense. His extensive career encompasses more than twenty years dedicated to defending public entities across California and Colorado. Eric's leadership prowess was honed through his tenure as a CEO for a Joint Powers Authority (SELF), where he demonstrated strategic acumen and operational excellence. Further enriching his profile, Eric has served as in-house counsel for a Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT), and as Chief Claims Officer for SELF, showcasing his versatility and depth of knowledge in the field.
In his current role, Eric oversees the operations of the Property and Liability Claims Administration's Oakland and Torrance Teams. He is renowned for providing exemplary leadership and for his consultative approach with the PLCA Teams and other Keenan colleagues, particularly on large loss cases where his insights on strategy and exposure evaluation are invaluable. Additionally, Eric serves as the PLCA Adviser to SAFER, offering his seasoned perspective on large loss claims. His contributions have been pivotal in shaping the landscape of claims administration and setting a benchmark for excellence within the industry.
