Workers’ Compensation Benefits Increase Effective January 1, 2026

Workers’ compensation benefit rates are subject to an increase as of January 1st of each year when there is an increase to the State Average Weekly Wage (SAWW). SAWW is reported by the U.S. Department of Labor for California for the 12 months ending March 31st

The United States Department of Labor has reported an increase in the SAWW for California for the 12 months ending March 31, 2025. This SAWW increase is represented by a change from $1,704 to $1,789, or up nearly 4.99%.


Effective for Dates of Injury on or After January 1, 2026

Therefore, the 2026 minimum and maximum TTD rates will increase with the minimum TTD increasing to $264.61 and the maximum TTD rate to $1,764.11 per week.
