House Narrowly Passes ACA Repeal & Replace

On May 4, 2017, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the American Health Care Act (AHCA) to repeal and replace parts of the Affordable Care Act. The AHCA passed by a narrow margin with 217 Republicans voting in favor and all Democrats plus 20 Republicans voting against the bill. Amendments were introduced after the bill was withdrawn from consideration in March 2017 and those changes managed to garner enough votes to pass the bill on May 4th.
