Reaching Two Million – One Course at a Time

We’re proud to announce that during April, Keenan SafeSchools is celebrating 2 million course completions for the online training program!

As you can see from the video, we realize that behind each of those 2 million course completions is an educator, administrator or staff member who took the time to be trained about their roles and responsibilities to prepare, prevent, and protect. We congratulate these individuals and their schools for reaching this landmark!

The Mandated Reporter training course we launched on Keenan SafeSchools last year was taken by approximately 40% of the school employees in the state! Throughout April, we have been participating in Child Abuse Prevention month, but our efforts to combat child abuse will continue year round. This month has been a great opportunity to remind all California schools – not just our clients – about the free resources we offer to help them in their mission to keep kids safe.

Assemblyman Mike Gatto, the state legislator who introduced AB 1432 (the bill that includes Mandated Reporter Training requirements) stated, “I applaud Keenan for creating their SafeSchools program and for working with faculty and school employees to prepare them to protect students.”

blog_courseOur Keenan SafeSchools online safety training and tracking system was designed specifically for education agency employees and was introduced in 2008 with 80 online courses. Today, the program offers more than 200 courses that provide public agencies with important resources for training employees in areas of safety and compliance they can deploy efficiently and cost-effectively as a turnkey solution.

We congratulate the districts statewide that have made their schools safer places for students and staff by utilizing Keenan SafeSchools.
