The Department of Health and Human Services announced the 2017 out-of-pocket maximums in the final 2017 Notice of Benefit and Payment Parameters.  The 2017 limits are increasing from $6,850 for self-only coverage and $13,700 for a family coverage to $7,150 and $14,300, respectively.  These limits are different from those on out-of-pocket spending under High-Deductible Health Plans.  For 2017, those limits are $6,550 for self-only coverage and $13,100 for family coverage.  These are unchanged from the 2016 limits.
