TORRANCE, Calif. – Feb. 10, 2015 – Keenan, the largest privately held insurance brokerage and consulting firm in California, has announced that Health Management Specialist Danielle Keenan has been recognized as a Top 100 Health Promotion Professional by the Wellness Council of America (WELCOA).
The program honors individuals who have made a significant contribution to the development and success of workplace wellness efforts. Judging criteria encompass professional development, demonstrated success, leadership, innovation and compelling vision with selection based on votes from peers and an empirical review by a distinguished judging panel.
“We are very pleased and proud that Danielle has received this prestigious recognition,” said Robin Rager, Director of Health Management for Keenan. “Through her efforts, many of our clients have developed award-winning workplace wellness programs that will have a lasting, positive impact on the health and productivity of their employees, while help to rein in the cost of healthcare for all concerned.”
Keenan joined the Keenan Human Capital department in 2011, serving as Worksite Wellness Coordinator for nearly three years. She then was appointed to the position of Health Management Specialist in the fall of 2013 with responsibility for implementing, managing and evaluating the firm’s KeenanWell worksite wellness health management programs for its healthcare and public agency clients, including the marketing and communication aspects of those programs.
In addition, she helps to manage the Keenan employee wellness program that received a Healthyroads Fit Company Gold Award in 2013 and a Silver Award in 2012.
This year, Keenan achieved the WELCOA Faculty designation when she completed four WELCOA certifications with a focus on improving employee health and containing escalating health care costs. In her spare time, she also helps others achieve a healthy lifestyle as a certified yoga instructor.
