While the Affordable Care Act’s (ACA) first open enrollment period is over, employers with off-calendar year plans might still have employees who are shopping for coverage through the ACA Marketplace. Milliman has released a study showing why the typical employer sponsored insurance plan has significantly more generous pharmacy benefits than bronze or silver plans being sold through the Marketplace. This could be helpful when showing employees how your plans deliver better value even if the monthly premiums are slightly higher than those of plans being sold on the exchange.
