Open Enrollment in Covered California (the California exchange or marketplace) begins October 1st for individuals and small business. Health care coverage begins January 1st. Covered California continues to prepare for these rapidly approaching milestones.
The June 2013 Covered California Executive Director’s Report provides some insights into an outreach campaign to raise awareness of Covered California among medical professionals. The goal of the campaign is to encourage healthcare professionals to take an active role in promoting Covered California to their patients.
The Navigator program is another route Covered California will be using to reach potential customers. Covered California anticipates awarding up to $5 million to support outreach efforts by the Navigator program.
