A Month to Celebrate

These days it seems like nearly every day of the month is National “Something” Day – and February is no exception. As you can see from the calendar of events below, there are lots of reasons to celebrate this month! Take a look at February’s celebrations below:

  • Black History Month is celebrated throughout the month of February and honors the contributions of African Americans to U.S. history. We encourage you to visit the Scholastic website where they have listed twenty-eight ideas, one for each day of February, that recognize the heritage, accomplishments, and culture of African Americans in the United States.
  • The month offers some great options for everyone with a “Sweet Tooth”!

Even though February is the shortest month, it definitely packs in a wealth of commemorative celebrations!
